Newly discovered obsidian and flint arrowheads from SamShvilde
Abstract
The paper discusses obsidian and flint arrowheads discovered at the archaeological site of Samshvilde. It presents the geographical location of the site and brief historical context. Although archaeological research has been ongoing since 2012, the Stone and Bronze Age layers remain insufficiently studied due to their fragmentary preservation and coverage by medieval layers. The study addresses the distribution of stone arrowheads and changes in their forms and manufacturing techniques from the Chalcolithic to the Late Bronze and Early Iron Ages.
