Abstract

The problem of the Colchian tetri is one of the most complex issues not only in Georgian numismatics but also in Georgian historiography in general. Although much has been written about it, none of the questions related to it can be considered finally resolved today. This is primarily due to the anepigraphic nature of the Colchian tetri. Secondly, written sources provide no information regarding the monetary system of Colchis.
