Abstract
The article addresses the conservation and restoration of archaeological materials in Georgia. Despite challenges in applying modern methods, significant progress has been made, particularly at the Research and Restoration Laboratory of the Georgian National Museum. Attention is also given to the work of the National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation of Georgia, which utilizes Western experience in safeguarding immovable monuments. The University of Georgia’s Samshvilde archaeological expedition closely collaborates with these institutions to ensure proper conservation and restoration of archaeological finds.
